Happy Aquitaine
Entre-deux-Mers, Cadillac and Saint-Macaire

Happy Aquitaine

The land between the Garonne and the Dordogne: old villages, the 16th-century castle of the Duke of Épernon and medieval Saint-Macaire. No tastings — history and beautiful places instead.

I would love to show you a different Aquitaine — not the one people usually see on a first trip to France.

We will head into Entre-deux-Mers, the land "between two seas" — the country between the Garonne and the Dordogne. It is a beautiful, unhurried region where small villages hide among green hills, and every old house or church may turn out to have a story of its own.

We will visit Cadillac and Saint-Macaire, wander the old lanes and talk about how people lived here several centuries ago, why these places mattered, and how Aquitaine changed over time.

What I love about this day is that it never feels like a checklist. We will not rush from one famous monument to the next. We will look, listen, talk, and simply enjoy the French countryside.

This trip suits especially well those who have already seen the main sights of Bordeaux and its surroundings and now want to know the region more deeply — its history, its people and the places guidebooks do not always mention.

And one more important point: there will be no wine tastings on this tour. If you do not drink wine, or simply want to devote one day to history and beautiful places rather than vineyards, this tour is made for you.

I would be delighted to spend this day with you and show you my beloved Aquitaine.
