Hello, future cognac experts and lovers of French luxury! Not far from Bordeaux lies the town of Cognac, where even the air is imbued with the scent of the noble drink. Throughout the day we'll visit several cognac houses, including one of the world-famous names: Hennessy, Rémy Martin, Courvoisier or Martell.
We'll learn to distinguish the styles of cognac, explore the secrets of the cellars and, of course, hold a tasting. My guests' favourite moment is the visit to a cosy family-run production of cognac and pineau des Charentes — and you'll leave with a bottle of the finest cognac so every sip recalls the day.
A typical day
- 8:30 — pick-up at your hotel; along the way you'll become a cognac expert
- 11:00 — private visit to a famous cognac house & tasting
- 13:00 — lunch with traditional cuisine
- 14:30 — the historic town: the Royal Castle where Francis I was born, and the Otard house
- 15:30 — a family distillery, tasting of cognac and pineau
- 19:00 — return to Bordeaux
