Hello, future cognac experts and lovers of French luxury! Did you know that not far from Bordeaux is the town of Cognac, where even the air is imbued with the scent of sophistication from the noble drink. Throughout the day, we will visit several cognac houses, including one of the world-famous ones: Hennessy, Rémy Martin, Courvoisier, or Martell.

We will learn to distinguish between types of cognac, explore the secrets of the cellars, and, of course, conduct a tasting. My guests’ favorite and most memorable part of the tour is the visit to a cozy family-run production of cognac and pineau des Charentes, a local specialty.

Approximate schedule of the day:

• 8:30 AM: I will meet you at the hotel, and we will begin our adventure. Along the way, I will tell you many interesting things about cognac, so that by the time we arrive, you will feel like real experts.

• 11:00 AM: Individual visit to a famous cognac house, tasting.

• 1:00 PM: Lunch at a restaurant with traditional cuisine.

• 2:30 PM: A walk through the historic part of the city. We will see the Royal Castle where Francis I was born, and we’ll drop by the Otard cognac house for a tasting.

• 3:30 PM: Visit to a family-run cognac production, tasting of cognac and pineau.
